The California Senior Golf Association  has a storied history bringing together dedicated senior golfers from both Northern and
Southern California who all have a true love and appreciation for the game.

It has been an organization that has been near and dear to me these past several years and I am looking forward to serving as its president in 2026.

I was introduced to the game at the age of 10 by caddying for my grandfather in the small town of Sidney, Neb. After winning my club championship and finishing 5th in the Wyoming
Open, I received a golf scholarship at the University of Wyoming where I graduated with a Business Administration degree.

My work history includes being the head professional at Pinnacle Peak CC in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Director of golf for JC Resorts in San Diego; and Tournament Director for the PGA TOUR
Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

My family consists of my incredible wife of 55 years, Vicki, and my daughter, Dr. Stacy Hulley, who with her husband, Ben, have blessed us with two grandchildren.

What is your greatest golf memory or moment?

Greatest memory is playing golf with Byron Nelson and Joe DiMaggio two days apart from each other.

What is your favorite course(s) and why?

Favorite course(s) I’ve played include Pine Valley, Merion, Baltesrol, Winged Foot, Old Course at St. Andrew’s, Carnosite, Cypress, Monterey Peninsula, Los Angles CC, and Sand Hills. Too many to choose one.

What do you enjoy doing besides golf?

Other than golf, the thing I enjoy most is spending time with my grandkids.
